How to write links
If you are writing posts and using the visual editor, you need this link for advice.
In these examples, all you need to know is the coloured parts.
Text Links
This is a link to wordpress.com: 
and it looks like this: WordPress !
And this is a link to the BBC: 
which looks like this: A news site
In both cases, what is orange is the same. Your links must have the orange parts.
The first white part is the URL.
The second white part is the link word that people will see.
Note:
All links must start http:// If they just start with www they will not work.
Links should not have http://http://

Images
This is an image link:
You need to have the green text.
The middle part is where your image is. (Where is my uploaded image?)
Note:
alt=”" - this text is what would show if your image link broke.
title=”" - this is what appears when someone puts their mouse over the link.

Put the two examples together:

That looks like this:

and in this example it has title=”We love WordPress” in the link.
Note:
When you write a long link, put all the text on the same link. Don’t press Return.
