Diversifying

I blogged a few days ago that this FAQ was becoming more like a manual for the domain. I said that such a thing was good. I changed my mind. There is a potential problem that the main FAQ page could become too large, too unwieldy, too confusing. People who come here are not browsing for fun (mainly) so information needs to be clear and findable.

That said, there are things which do not have anything to do with wordpress.com but are useful for bloggers to know. It could be resources, general information, browser issues - the list is long but if they help someone to get the best out of blogging here then it's a good thing to have. A long list also presents problems but we'll cope with that when we get there.

So…… a new page will be started that will look like the FAQ page, will link to posts here but will be for broader topics. A category 'Diverse' maybe? There is obviously the danger that this too could explode into some heaving mass of links so some restraint will be shown to prevent that.

The 205 of you who have this feed can therefore expect to see some different posts crossing the screen.
